5th and 6th Class Projects
5th and 6th have spent the last two months working on individual projects. Each child decided on a topic that interested them personally and researched it with the help of the teacher and parents. It involved trips to the library, plenty of online research and lots of discussions on what information to include and of course how best to present it. All of the work culminated in a project fair. We invited all of the other classes to visit us in the hall, where they could read the project and ask questions. Lots of the children had various things to show other than the written projects themselves, Lego models, books, photographs, sports equipment and we even had a display of hurling skills. It was a huge amount of work and both teachers and pupils were equally impressed and proud of what had been achieved.
